Brothers & sisters in Christ, our fellow musicians and all Covered Scars fans,

Thank you all for your patience with us this year. It has been a very exciting 2013. We’ve had several great shows, and played with some very exciting artists. God has truly blessed us with these performances. But now it is time for us to refocus on finishing our sophomore album, Flinch.

This week the band sat down and listened to the work that’s been done and evaluated where we are and what’s left to be done. We are very close to completion but afterward we decided that the album is not quite whole. We’ve decided to go back to the studio and add two more songs: The People of the Way and Open Minded. These songs are complete in the writing process and won’t take long to record.

The hard copy of the Flinch album will include bonus tracks that will not be available for download on ITunes, not in the above list.

We are currently trying to schedule studio time so we can finish. With the exception of the two new additions, all that’s left to finish is polishing the vocals, a few guitar leads and a handful bass tracks. There’s just mere hours of work left to be done.

Our new target date for completion and release is July 2013, but we won’t be able to reach that goal without your help. Thank you to all that have already given. The merchandise portion (t-shirts, posters, guitar picks, stickers, etc) is all currently in production. All that remains is the studio time for recording, mastering and then manufacturing the hard copies of the album.

This is the last week for our PledgeMusic Campaign. We know times are tough. We are going to include as many goodies that we can for all who’ve donated. We’re currently raiding our couch cushions to put the remaining funds together to complete the album. The more funding we can the sooner the album can be released.

A teddy bear drive is in place right now in memory of Zeke with the teddy bears being distributed to sick children in local hospitals over the holidays to bring a smile to their little faces.
